What a year it has been!
A message from Emmy Baker...
To say the last year has been a rollercoaster is a huge understatement! I started this company exactly 1 year before COVID-19 hit. You would think that my services would be needed more than ever now and this is what I was set up for. However, I believe God has a way of leading people down paths they never thought they would take. The past year has changed my company and practice dramatically. People started asking if I would do Dysport injections because they knew I had been trained well and wanted a more intimate setting and flexible schedule for appointments. I eventually added Dysport injections to the services I offer and the next thing I knew, my days were filled doing something I never knew I loved so much. It turned into a huge blessing in disguise because it allowed me to be home for my kids after school to help them with their homework and be more present in their lives, which is exactly why I started this business to begin with. I was tired of missing out on the most important things in life and disappointing my kids when I could not be there for their important events.

During this uncertain time, I will continue to take telehealth calls and do e-visits for those who need help with medical problems or need prescriptions. As things start to get back to normal and I can see patients face-to-face again, I will try to make house calls but will take it on a case-by-case basis. The majority of my time is spent doing injections because of the flexibility. I want to continue to put my family first and this crisis has reminded me to follow my heart and do what makes me and my family happy!

Thank you to all of my wonderful patients who have made my first year such a success! I love you all so much! Please stay healthy and I can't wait to start seeing everyone again!

aboutME

I am a Louisville native who learned early on what it truly means to care for people. I grew up watching my parents care for everyone around them on a daily basis. My dad is one of the most amazing doctors that I have ever known and my mom raised 4 kids, including my special needs sister, in a way that still leaves me wondering how she did it all. It is because of them that caring for people is my true passion.
I went to Miami University in Oxford, OH and received my Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Communications with a Minor in Business Management. From there I moved to Nashville where I decided to pursue the nursing career I had always dreamed of and went on to earn my Master's Degree in Nursing from Vanderbilt University with a dual major in Adult Health and Women's Health.
I met my husband in Nashville and we moved back to Louisville for me to join my dad's practice at The Hubbard Clinic where I was so incredibly lucky to work alongside my dad. In the midst of helping him run the practice for 9 years, I had 2 children, now 7 and 9 years old. After he retired I decided to move on and spent a year and a half working with a top Plastic Surgeon in town before deciding to start my own business.
Over the past 12 years as a Nurse Practitioner, I have noticed an increasing gap in healthcare between organizations and patients and how confusing it can be to navigate the healthcare system and find people that you trust to care for you. The crucially important "personal" part of caring for people seems to be gone at many facilities. My goal is to provide personal and individualized nursing care to people on their schedule in a more intimate setting. The services offered have already grown and changed as needs arise, so if you have a nursing problem or question and don't know who to call, maybe I can help!
